Sang-hee Lee used vivid and bright hues in order to transmit the warmth in human nature and awake the childlike innocence which everyone has.
The main theme of pieces are abundance and serenity. The mixture of calmness and flamboyance creates a surreal aurora which would give the viewer as if he or she is having a sweet dream.
And so Sang-hee Lee's works are full of warmth. This warmth has been her signature feature in her works since "Blooming" series, which delineated fully bloomed flowers under warm spring days.
Not so after the "Blooming" series, the artist introduced "Whisper" and "Rest In Peace" series, in which she depicted her warmth through encircling butterflies and chirping birds in a surreal background.
The artist's later works such as "The origin of Life" and "Full Moon" exhibit her earlier artistic traits, yet they become more diverse, mature and rich.
In "The Origin of Life", one can see many new lives sprouting out around a giant tree located in the center of the piece, which represents the tree of life or the world tree.
By just looking at the picture, the viewer can instantly and intuitively understand what the artists tries to convey through her piece.
